Responsibilities:
- Drafting, editing, and/or proofreading correspondence and documents and translating in English and Mongolian.
- Taking notes and occasionally providing summaries of meetings, events and seminars and conducting research on specific topics, upon request, on a variety of policy areas in economic and development cooperation such as macroeconomics, public finance, trade, energy, climate change, investment, agriculture, transportation, and infrastructure.
- Monitoring news and press releases relevant to the work.
- Secretarial work such as answering phone calls, making appointments and reservations, arranging transportation, and preparing meetings, receptions and other events.
- Other relevant responsibilities as needed.
Please Note: Duties and responsibilities are a subject to change upon a decision by the Embassy
Required and Preferred Qualifications:
- At least Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as law, economics, political science, international relations, and public administration
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible professional work experience at the national and international levels in a governmental, multilateral, private, academic or civil society organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mongolian; ability to speak/read Japanese is asset but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Teamwork, flexibility, critical thinking skills, resourcefulness
Please note:
Candidate must be a Mongolian citizen.

The Embassy offers social insurance, salary increase, bonus, paid vacations, and overtime allowance. Working hours are 9:00 am – 5:45 pm, Monday through Friday, with 1-hour lunch break from 13:00 pm to 14:00 pm.
